BENTONE 27

BENTONE 27 is an organically modified hectorite clay rheological additive specifically designed to improve thickening efficiency in medium- to high-polarity synthetic and organic fluids. BENTONE 27 can be readily blended into oils and fluids using normal equipment. It is an effective gellant for esters, vegetable oils, polyalkylene glycols and certain silicone fluids. BENTONE 27 provides ease of manufacturing without requiring heat for gelation of the base fluid. It offers resistance to melting and oil separation, excellent work stability, and wide range of temperature applications. BENTONE 27 is suitable for applications requiring these attributes as it can provide stability, workability and extended open time for products during manufacturing and application.
