ISOFOL is the registered trademark of Sasol for saturated primary alcohols with well defined branching of the carbon structure. Thanks to the structure of ISOFOL, these alcohols have a low pour point and very good oxidative stability. ISOFOL 12, 16, and 20 are particularly suited to improving the stability of synthetic and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. They are compatible with a wide range of base oils to offer multiple possibilities to the modern lubricant industry. These products are also available using ISCC PLUS certified bio-based ethylene (mass balanced). ISOFOL 16, 20 and 2426S are particularly suited for use in minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) application due to their beneficial properties.
