Sodium Stearyl Fumarate (SSF) is an excipient widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as a lubricant and anti-adherent in various formulations. It is a white or almost white, odourless, and tasteless powder that is soluble in water and alcohol. Due to its more hydrophilic nature, tablet compaction (hardness) and disintegration time is less affected compared to other lubricants. Typical Use level: 0.5-2% • Density: 1.107 g/mL • Melting point: 224 - 225 °C • Specific surface area: 1.2 - 2.0 m²/g
