ESTISOL 222 is an aliphatic ester based on natural fatty acids. The product is a strong solvent with a very low surface tension, a high flash point and good biodegradability. It is a true alternative to strong hydrocarbon solvents such as aromatics, white spirit and d-limonene. Comparison of CLP hazard profile shows much safer use and lower hazard. It is recommended as solvent in industrial cleaners, aerosols, assembly fluids, lubricants and other formulated fluids. Some key properties of ESTISOL 222 show very low surface tension with excellent wetting and penetration, a high flash point and slow evaporation, very high solvency power and is miscible with aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents as solvency booster.
