TONSIL® 4728-A FF is a highly active bleaching earth for special applications and is blended with an amount of 5 % activated carbon. TONSIL® 4728-A FF is a fine, greyish-dark powder showing a highly porous inner structure. TONSIL® 4728-A FF possesses a high adsorptive capacity for removal of polar compounds like chlorophyll, phospholipids and peroxides as well as unpolar components as for example carotenoids and polycyclic hydrocarbons (PAH). TONSIL® 4728-A FF is very suitable for refining vegetable and animal oils and fats. It is also recommended for decolourization of natural waxes.
