Bormed™ RE870MO is a polypropylene random copolymer intended for evaluation for use in Healthcare applications. This grade is suitable for use in injection moulding and ISBM technologies. It can be used for bottles up to maximum of 1 litre resulting in a good contact clarity, gloss and surface finish. The bottles can be steam sterilised at 121 C depending on design. Material can also be sterilised with ethylene oxide. Borealis prohibits the use of any grade product in an implantable device that is introduced into the human body by surgical intervention and that is intended to remain in place following the surgical procedure, e.g. stents, pacemakers. A filled-in Risk Assessment Form and its corresponding approval by Borealis is needed for material sampling and for every Healthcare application.
