ADCOTE™ 295G Heat Seal Coating is based on EVA copolymer resin in organic solvents. This product can be applied at room temperature. The coating has good resistance to water and limited resistance to fats and oils. The EVA heat sealing lacquer is designed to address low temperature seal activation requirements. The seal starts at 80°C but is critical block-resistant at 40°C. It can be applied on, and sealed to, a wide range of films such as (HD)PE, BOPP, (HI) PS, paper, PVC, PVdC coated films and aluminum foil. Aliphatic hydrocarbons or a mixture Ethyl Acetate / aliphatic hydrocarbons (1:4) can be used to reduce viscosity. The product may have thickened if it has been stored below 15°C. In this case, it should be heated up to 30°C and stirred until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
